AI maintenance technology pinpoints problem assets

Senseye, the UK-based maintenance software specialist, has announced an “industry first” technology that pinpoints assets that require immediate attention, by detecting any abnormal behaviours. The Attention Index technology notifies users when it detects such anomalies, which it prioritises by analysing parameters such as vibration, pressure, torque and current.

The technology was developed following feedback from users of the Senseye PdM AI-powered system, which performs automated condition monitoring and predictive maintenance functions. The new technology replaces the previous asset health scores, and allows users to rate the system’s insights to fine-tune its predictions and ensure that their installations meet their exact needs.

Senseye’s product manager, Graham Dunlop, describes the Attention Index as “a subtle shift in how we present insights and receive feedback, but one that will make our software significantly more predictive and beneficial to maintenance professionals on the shop-floor.

“Senseye is putting the user at the centre of its thinking,” he adds, “improving detection of problems for organisations without extensive historical data-sets, and accelerating the fine-tuning of our AI, based on a deeper understanding of the experts responsible for maintaining machines.”

Senseye PdM is used by manufacturers worldwide to curb unplanned downtime, reduce spare parts inventories, and cut maintenance costs. Senseye claims that some users have halved downtime and cut their maintenance costs by up to 40%.
