Sales Engineer

• Position details:

  This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding sales distribution company supplying an extensive range of products into general industrial applications, production automation, packaging, food processing, life science, automotive and military industries.

  The company currently has a vacancy for a Sales Engineer with a sound background in electro-mechanical engineering to promote our range of automation/motion control products.

  The preferred candidate will be pro-active and self-motivated with several years sales experience along with an electro-mechanical qualification.

  Main function and role:

  • The position will be locally based within a serviced office.

  • To promote and sell the companies range of products, targeting industries within the Midlands and Northern England areas.

  • To maintain existing customer base, introduce new customers and generate new business.

  • To carry out regular customer visits and joint visits to customers with our suppliers.

  • To assist at exhibitions, develop and work towards agreed business plans, sales strategies and objectives and meet annual sales targets.

  • Attend monthly sales meeting at head office in Poole.

  Position Requirements:

  • Technical field sales experience selling into industry and with a proven track record.

  • Automation or motion control product knowledge would be an advantage

  • Good presentation and communication skills.

  • Good planning and organisational skills.

  • Computer literate with experience of compiling quotations and database upkeep.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Smart appearance and eligible to work in the UK.
